Kam began his career as an aircraft mechanic in Airforce in 1968. During his 7 year of service with the US Airforce, he attended several aircraft technical schools and O.J.T courses. After leaving the US Airforce, Kam worked for several aircraft companies, including General Dynamics at Fort Worth and Aerospatiale Helicopter at Grand Prairie, Texas. He joined the Aerospatiale General-Aviation (former name of Socata Aircraft, Inc.) in 1988. Kam holds an FAA Certification rating an Airframe & Powerplant (AP) and Inspection Authorization (IA).
