Socata has been retained by Latécoère, an Aerospace Subcontractor, to provide 600 sets of components to manufacture a segment of CF3. The future brasilian family of regional jets Embraer RJ 170/190.
This is an important (project) (work) for Socata, as this segment CF3 is 21.325 ft long and 11.5 ft in diameter.
This contract, worth 250 MF should bring 10 to 15 years of activity to Socata’s Aerostructure Department.
The line will be a part of the Airbus sub-department and will succeed the Lockheed Martin C-130 fuselage panel manufacturing program, that will end soon.
For this program, launched in 1988, Socata has manufactured and delivered 313 sub-components of the front fuselage panels. This experience has enabled Socata to work accordingly with the American Technical Referential system and to add international references to its skills in the field of aerostructure, which have been acquired mainly with Airbus Industry, Dassault and Eurocopter.
