For the first time EADS SOCATA presents a TBM 700B at Asian Aerospace airshow in Singapore has landed yesterday evening at Singapore International Airport. It was 23.20 local time. The plane was flown by Louis-André Bienséant, from EADS SOCATA, and Simon Matthews, from Australian Aerospace. They left Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées (France) on February, 22nd 11.00 GMT and made five stops : Corfu (Greece), Luxor (Egypt), Dubaï, Delhi (India) and Chiang Maï (Thailand). They flew a total 7,086 Nm (13,123 km) in 27 flight kts (486 km/hr) and burning hours, reaching an average cruising speed of 262.44 176.15 litres per hour (46.5 US gal/hr) of Jet A1. Final destination of this TBM 700 will be Brisbane, Queensland (Australia), the base of Australian Aerospace, new EADS SOCATA distributor for Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
