With more than 15 TB planes fully loaded with passengers, the 2nd Aussie TB Users Fly In held near Adelaide from March 19 through 21 was a great success. EADS Socata supported this growing event and participate with a new TB 20 Trinidad GT, recently delivered in Australia.
“ This was a good demonstration of Australian TB operators passion for their aircraft and we look forward developing this relationship.”
Commented Didier Raynard, Sales Director of EADS Socata Sales & Marketing office in Australia. TB aircraft landed on the Australian market in the early 80’s where they were attracted professional aviation schools, such as BAe or Ansett Flying College, as well as private customers. More than one hundred TB aircraft have been delivered to Australia. Today the General Aviation branch of EADS foresees strong sales potential for business and utility aircraft on Asia Pacific market, as a reward of our commitment to this market.
Around 290 Socata aircraft are currently flying in Asia Pacific area. To strengthen its sales and support network in the region, EADS Socata decided last spring to open a bureau in Sydney in partnership with Australian Aerospace.
Since it has resulted in the sale of 7 aircraft:
A good start for the EADS Socata Australian office opened in Sydney in partnership with EADS Australian Aerospace Pty Ltd, EADS subsidiary in Sydney, Australia. The EADS Socata Australian Sales & Marketing office run by Didier Raynard is responsible for Australia, New Zealand and Papua-New Guinea while Australian Aerospace is in charge of the customer support in the area.
EADS Socata is one of the most active General Aviation manufacturers in the area with a fleet of 297 aircraft in service by January 2004.
