A Socata Aircraft on Paris’ Champs-Elysées
EADS Socata is exhibiting its TB 9 Tampico GT training aircraft on the Champs-Elysées in Paris – one of the world’s most famous avenues – as part of an exhibition celebrating the 100 years of France’s aerospace industry.

The TB 9 Tampico GT’s participation in this exceptional outdoor exhibition – which is organized October 4-12 by the French GIFAS aerospace industry association – underscores EADS Socata’s craftsmanship as an aircraft manufacturer, and provides an incentive for the general public to learn about general aviation flying.
EADS Socata is one of the world’s leading general aviation manufacturers, with more than 17,000 aircraft built since its creation as Morane-Saulnier in 1911, including 2,000 TB aircraft such the TB 9. The focus of EADS Socata today is on its production of the TBM 850 six-seat business aircraft, and the manufacture of sub-assemblies for civil airliners (the Airbus family), military transport aircraft (the A400M), Dassault business jets, Eurocopter helicopters and Embraer regional jets.
EADS Socata is expanding its customer service activities to support the growing fleet of TBM aircraft, as well as offering its light aviation expertise for aircraft weighing less than 5.7 metric tons. Its capabilities include avionics modernization, along with maintenance, repair and overall service packages.
